I Wanna Be Like You

6x6 oil on Raymar panel
And so it begins - the parade of daily paintings. The handle of this little steel bowl seemed to develop a relationship with the cherry tomatoes. The open form composition and the bright spots of color, along with the loose brush strokes, make this little painting casual yet important.

  1. I love this painting,Martha! The reflections are so clean. You made every brushstroke count. I can't wait till you put this up for sale!

  2. Hi Martha, Just looked at your daily paintings! Wonderful! You are not only a great artist, you are a great writer as well! I love your commentary on each painting! Very creative and fun! It is exciting to see you grow. I would love to paint daily, but I am not that disciplined as of yet. I do some kind of art each day, but not just painting. Congrats on your dedication! Melanie
